DJ back 2 back Beta

Back to back, online · Mac · laptop controllers

Two DJs.
One set.
Anywhere.

Link up with another DJ, hear each other's mix through your own controller, and hand over the decks when it's their turn.

A session in three steps

  1. 01

    Link up

Make a code, or invite a DJ you've matched with. You both enter it in the DJ back 2 back app on your Mac.

  2. 02

    Play

The live DJ's mix plays through the other DJ's controller, at a level they set. They bring it in by ear and mix into it, like any live input.

  3. 03

    Hand over

Press Handover when you're done. When they press Accept, the sound jumps to them, with "You have control" in their ears.

Made for laptop controllers

Built for the controller on your desk.

rekordbox and Serato can't take outside sound onto a deck. So the app mixes at your controller: your partner plays through the controller's own output, beside your DJ software, at a level you set.

  • SentYour DJ software's sound, to the other DJ.
  • PlayedTheir mix, through your controller, at your level. In your headphones too, if your controller has a cue output.
  • Never sentThe rest of your Mac, or your partner coming back. So there's no echo.
