Copyright complaints
What we host: text posts on the message boards, DJs' public pages, and links to Mixcloud shows. We don't host recordings. Sessions go from one DJ's app to the other's, and we don't record them.
Think something here infringes your copyright?
Email copyright@djb2b.com with:
- your name, address, phone number and email;
- the work you say is infringed;
- the exact page on djb2b.com, and where on it;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you're the owner or authorised to act for them;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We remove or disable the material quickly, and tell the DJ who posted it.
Think we removed your post by mistake?
Send a counter-notice to the same address with:
- your signature;
- what was removed and where it was;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the court jurisdiction the law sets out.
We pass it to the person who complained. Unless they tell us they've gone to court, we put the material back 10 to 14 business days after we receive your counter-notice.
Repeat infringers
If a valid copyright complaint makes us take down something you posted, that's a strike on your account. We tell you each time: what came down and why.
A strike comes off if you send a counter-notice and we put the material back. Otherwise it stays for 12 months.
A strike stays for 12 months.
Three strikes in 12 months and we close your account.
We close an account straight away if it exists mainly to share other people's music.
Don't open a new account to get round a closure. We close those too.
Think a strike is wrong? Send a counter-notice (above), or appeal within 6 months (Complaints and appeals).
